          THE PARAMBARYA SILPA VELE THOZHILALI KSHEMA SAHAKARANA SANGAM LTD, started functioning on March 15 1994 in Varam town in Kannur district, with a capital of Rs.40,000. It aims at giving necessary financial help to the artisans for self - employment and thus improve their standard of living.

          The members of the governing body and staff took keen interest to accumulate shares and began new investment schemes. This helped to lend loans like gold loans, business loans and personal loans. The business area was developed and the present turn over is Rupees 5 Crores. The society was permitted to extend its working zones throughout kannur district and was able to include more members from Payyannur region. A branch was inaugurated on March 12, 2014 in Payyannur. This banking sector is the first one of its kind that works for the welfare of the artisans. The present office is computerisedand. Steps are being take to start accidental death insurance for its members, a showromm, an ATM counter and a website.
